ApexIndividual here, just as an update to the study tip I gave in the 2023 / 24 DWRM prospectus I thought I’d give you a few words.

Firstly I got out, it took time and effort on my part, however I got there through a positive and progressive mind set. I used the same skill set which allowed me to progress in my studies to progress out of the IPP sentence through the front gate and all the way home, however the work didn’t stop there, really that was just the start of another long road which has tuck me to places I could only once see when I slept in my dreams.

When I first got out I started a TikTok, which is relevant to me and my progress as it gave something to focus on and also a platform for me to get my story and journey out there,I also use my TikTok as a means of interacting with the world in a positive and pro social way, whilst it also gave me a means of making a small in come to keep me going.

Through my connection to DWRM I was able to get on to a podcast, and also meet some other students using the DWRM platform for study who have made the most out of their journey of incarceration and study and are really making changes in our country.

I myself have a number of different and exciting ventures underway that is taking up a lot of my time and keeping me focused. No two paths are the same, where our journeys gain their resemblance is in the amount of effort that will be required to become successful within them, so what I’m basically trying to say is work hard at finding out how to work smart then put in the hours.
