Prison Education Reform

The way education is viewed in the prison estate needs reform . We strive to be at the forefront of these changes.

We contribute to All Party Parliamentary Group reporting, focusing on prison-related issues, where we leverage our lived experience and academic research to advocate for change. 

Office for Students (OfS) now officially recognises “prisoners” as a group of students who do not experience equality of opportunity in Higher Education. This is a direct result of conversations between DWRM Consultants and the OfS Access and Participation team.

The Equality of Opportunity Risk Register identifies 12 sector-wide risks that may affect a student’s opportunity to access and succeed in higher education and asks providers to explain how they might mitigate these risks.
