Creating Accessible Higher Education Opportunities for People in Prison

Higher and Further Education have traditionally excluded those in custody. Where options have been available, there hasn’t been any real variety in the offering. DWRM is actively remedying this.

We provide students in custody with a wide range of degree options to choose from and offer extensive study support, focusing on learning communities to reduce the isolation of prison based study.

We help students fund courses through grants or student loans. For the academic year ending in August 2023, we helped 135 students in custody to study via educational grants.
